Pumpkin Time!!

It's Pumpkin Time!!
So, we finally got around to carving our pumpkin. Jefferson was so in love with it. He tried as hard as he could to lift the thing and take it around with him. This pumpkin was only a buck. It's a big pumpkin, but while I was at my mom's a new grocery store opened and they had them selling for 6 cents a pound. Great stuff.
As you can see, Jefferson has started cheesing very hard lately. I don't know where it came from, but whenever I pull the camera out, this is what I see. It cracks me up!! And the head tilt goes along with it.

Jefferson was very curious about the inside. Not at all grossed out like some kids. Unfortunately, for a pumpkin so big there were very little guts. Kind of disappointing when you are looking forward to getting dirty with your kid.

Of course, Jason carved so he made me take the guts out, but that's okay, I didn't mind. I think it's fun. Jefferson like "helping" me as well!

Still very curious. It's great to see things through the eyes of little children.

What are you carving for Halloween?

Jason was helping Jefferson perfect his "look". Silly fellas.

The finished product. Jefferson finds this absolutely fabulous, so it was definitly worth the time and mess.

Happy Halloween Everyone!!

Baby Maddox!!

Many of you from the Provo ward might remember my brother and sister-in-law (Jeff and Alissa Dixon) They have recently welcomed into the world a miracle baby. I won't go into the whole story here, but if you remember them you can check out their blog. It's crazydixons.blogspot.com or you can use my link (The Dixon family) Once in their blog you can click on the upper right hand link of "Maddox" to read the stories.
He truly is amazing and we have seen so many miracles because of him. The Lord truly does answer prayers and surround those who are having tough times with giant arms of love. Maddox still has a ways to go before he can come home so any and all prayers would be appreciated. I know Jeff and Alissa have amazing strength and faith and they love this precious little boy so much. They are a great example of how an eternal family should be. So if you can spare some love and prayers please send them to Boston so Baby Maddox can come home to his three siblings who want to see him and their parents so badly.

Talking!

I know, I know! It has been forever since I posted, but quite frankly, I didn't feel like I had anything important or funny or cute to say, so I didn't say it. But, upon the pushing of loved ones and friends I will start blogging again.
Jefferson has recently started picking up words and actions really fast. His latest favorite word and food is "apple". He says it all the time. He climbs up on the kitchen chair and stares at the big bowl on the counter and says, "Appo, appo, appo" over and over again. This is how every meal goes. He even says it while I am bringing him upstairs for bed. I think he believes that if he tells me he's hungry I won't make him go to bed.
In other going ons, Jason just spent a week in Vegas on a business trip so Jefferson and I went to my parents for the week and hung out with Nana and Aunt Bethany and Ada and Chase. Whilew there we shopped, chatted, cooked, baked, made plans for Christmas goodies, and played in the nice fall weather. It was a lot of fun. Jefferson was a little depressed when we got home and he realized he just had me for the whole day. We had a great time and I will talk more about it later!! I promise.
