Although Jefferson turned one almost a month ago, I thought I would recap for all those who could not be there.
My niece Ada informed me the morning of the party that all birthdays MUST have a pinata and it was either pirates or princess (according to Ada). So, we picked pirates and made this fabulous pinata out of construction paper and markers. Luckily my parents had some chocolate coins that I could put in it. Since Ada was the only child big enough to swing at the pinata she was happy that she got all the candy.
The cake was the best part. He had never had chocolate or cake before and boy, did he love. It was so much fun to watch. I sure do love that little guy. In the bottom picture I was just showing him that there was more than frosting to the cake.
Hey guys! This is Katie Roderick. I was wondering when you two would get a blog. And what a cute little boy!!!! Where are you all living nowadays? Tom and I live in Dallas but are moving in a few months for Tom to attend UT down in Austin for an economics phD. We just can't get enough of that destitute student life! :) Anyway, it's good to see how well your little family is doing. Check out our blog and keep in touch!
ReplyDeleteWAY stinking cute! I love how completely covered in chocolate he is. That is how first birthdays should be!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm glad you had a pinata. Once I had a pinata when I turned 22. Haha. It was great fun.
So fun! Can you believe he's 1 already?! I'm glad you all had fun enjoying his first birthday.
