Fourth of July Continued!

I got Dyamond and Mycole a book called "Double Daring Book for Girls" and it has a ton of fun stuff to do in it. I told them to look through it and pick out something we could do together and they picked out Lava Lamps. It was actually really easy and fun to do. Those girls are so smart and I was glad to do it. The ingredients are: A bottle of some kind, baby oil, water, food coloring and alka seltser tablets. Lots of home made, scientific fun!

I got a pinata for the girls birthday and everyone got a wack. We actually had to heve my brother Jeff hit it a few times so it would finally open. The kids thought it was great. I love seeing them laugh and smile. Ada was walking around saying," This is my best birthday ever" She does say that about every other day, but it still made me feel good.

We decided to have an experiment. My brother and sister called it Red Neck Fireworks, but it was fun nonetheless. We got all the different kinds of coke we could find (regular, diet, caffine-free, caffine-free diet, ect) and some mentos. Karl was the designated scientist (Meaning he dropped in the mentos) and we all watched and laughed. Great family fun

Here's the little patriotic family!!

My mom got all the grandkids matching shirts for the fourth and we took pictures in the mountains. I think I will frame this one because it is so real. This is how I will remember this time. Fun, loud, squiggly, etc. Jefferson is even trying to eat a rock.

I sure do love my family!!

Of course we did fireworks as well. I wish everyone lived closer, but I'll take the time when I can.

  1. FINALLY A POST! OH! YOU HAVE ALL BEEN BUSY WITH ANOTHER REUNION! FAMILY, FAMILY, FAMILY!

Did your sister come with your nieces or did they come on their own? How old are the girls now?

Interesting Red Neck Fireworks! You will have to demonstrate it to us sometime.
