Swimming!

Jefferson and I took a mom and tot swim class for two weeks and we had so much fun. I learned a lot and I think Jefferson did too. It was great watching him learn how to kick and put his face in the water and and lot of other things. The pool here in Brigham is great. And we got to do it before it got incredibly hot.

Fourth of July Continued!

I got Dyamond and Mycole a book called "Double Daring Book for Girls" and it has a ton of fun stuff to do in it. I told them to look through it and pick out something we could do together and they picked out Lava Lamps. It was actually really easy and fun to do. Those girls are so smart and I was glad to do it. The ingredients are: A bottle of some kind, baby oil, water, food coloring and alka seltser tablets. Lots of home made, scientific fun!

I got a pinata for the girls birthday and everyone got a wack. We actually had to heve my brother Jeff hit it a few times so it would finally open. The kids thought it was great. I love seeing them laugh and smile. Ada was walking around saying," This is my best birthday ever" She does say that about every other day, but it still made me feel good.

We decided to have an experiment. My brother and sister called it Red Neck Fireworks, but it was fun nonetheless. We got all the different kinds of coke we could find (regular, diet, caffine-free, caffine-free diet, ect) and some mentos. Karl was the designated scientist (Meaning he dropped in the mentos) and we all watched and laughed. Great family fun

Here's the little patriotic family!!

My mom got all the grandkids matching shirts for the fourth and we took pictures in the mountains. I think I will frame this one because it is so real. This is how I will remember this time. Fun, loud, squiggly, etc. Jefferson is even trying to eat a rock.

I sure do love my family!!

Of course we did fireworks as well. I wish everyone lived closer, but I'll take the time when I can.

Dixon Family Reunion

I know, I know, I have been a lousy blogger this month, but honestly, it has been pretty darn busy. My family gathered from all corners of the earth (okay, Texas, Washington, Kentucky, and Utah) to have a reunion. We don't get to do this very often so it was a lot of fun. It was great for Jefferson to have so many cousins around to play with. Here are some pictures of the activities we did.

We went hiking around Snow Bird. My nieces Dyamond and Mycole had never been in the mountains before. It was a really pretty day and Jefferson always loves to be on Daddy's shoulders.

I made pretzels from scratch with Dyamond and Mycole. Delicious!!

Brynna and Ada's birthdays are on the 12th and 13th so I got them these hats to decorate and they went wild. They are just so cute together!

As a family we all went the the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house and it was beautiful. So many people and such a great spirit about the place. Wonderful!

Here's Jason and my nephew Tracen swimming away at a friends pool. We all had a lot of fun. More pictures to come soon.
