On another dreary day of clouds and rain (to due to irrigation times we could not go anywhere) I have decided to update everyone on our garden progress. It has been really fun watching things sprout and begin to grow. For instance, we have peachlites!!! They are just starting to come out of the blossoms. It really amazes me how things grow. The Lord truly thought of everything.

This is Jefferson next to our corn that is starting to peep it's little sprouts out of the ground. Jason is so excited about the corn. I really hope it does well.

Below is our peas. Aren't they pretty? To the right are the radishes. I am really excited to try different ways to cook and eat them.

Above are the potatoes. I really didn't want to plant them due to space and yield, but Jason really, really, really wanted to, soooooooooo we planted some potatoes. Our pepper and tomato plants are doing well. Some of my heirloom tomato plants have blossoms and I couldn't be happier. The melons haven't shown their faces yet, but we are patient. The onions and beans are getting ready to show up and the squash is also being a little shy, but they'll get over it. I know I forgot some other plants, but oh well.

My violas are going strong. They are just so pretty, but for some reason these flowers pictured here decided to overtake the lovely pink ones and those aren't growing so well. This is my first year planting though and I don't think I have a particularly green thumb, so I still consider it a success.

I love to walk out the door and have these beauties be the first things I see.
Fun stuff. I like seeing Jefferson get good use out of his Christmas Truck. The purple flowers are beautiful! Grandmother Thomas would be absolutely loving them if she was there.
