HAPPY BIRTHDAY JASON!!!
Well, it finally happened. Jason is no longer a young adult. He is just a plain adult now that he has reached the ripe old age of 30. J/K. I was having fun teasing him about this yesterday due to the fact that I have a few more years until I reach this point. It's amazing to think how much time has passed since I met him when he was 23, crazy! So many good things, great things, fabulous things, and some heartbreakers, but that is life and I am sure glad he's been there to experience them with me.

For his birthday dinner of choice he picked pizza. So after pizza he got to go to mutual and supervise the deacons per usual, but once he got home we opened presents and had some cake. For all of you who know Jason you know that he is particular in his gadgets. I always want to get him something he likes, but it won't be a secret because he has to pick it out himself. His gadgets are beyond my understanding. I gave him a deadline to let me know which tools he wanted so I could order them, but alas, he could not find one he really liked. So he had to settle for less exciting presents.

Jeffers couldn't be bothered to participate due to the fact that I finally let him watch t.v. It had been awhile so he had to watch every single second.
He got some new work shoes since the ones he wears were hurting his feet. Jefferson promptly put them on.
He also got some work pants. I know, I know you are jumping at the excitment aren't you? However, the favorite was the mag light. Jason has wanted one for awhile and Jefferson thought it was magic or something.
He wouldn't give it back and he kept trying to shine it in our eyes. In about 10 seconds he figured out how to turn it on and off and that it makes cool shapes on the wall. He is going to be smarter than me in a couple years.

And here is the apple spice cake. It looks a little droopy, but it tasted good. Happy Birthday Babe!!
Well, it looks like those were some pretty good selections in presents. In a day or two he will have a chance to shop for a camera for the computer so we can start SKYPING you guys every once in a while. (At least that's what I hope he chooses to use with what I sent to him.) We will see!
ReplyDeleteHey, who you calling old? I can't wait till your 30th.... :-).
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Jason!!
Happy Birthday, Jason! Jason's headed to the big 3-0 this year, too. Thankfully I've got a few more birthdays before then. What a tasty looking cake!
ReplyDeleteOur family sure likes spice cake. Joe's favorite cake is spice cake and Sandra's second favorite cake is spice cake. I like the idea of apples in the middle with the spice cake.
