My sweet little boy is sick. He is almost two years old and he had never thrown-up. I was counting my lucky stars on Monday night when Jason yells"KARA!" And I knew that my luck had run out. Jefferson had refused to eat almost every thing that day and had only drank his strawberry milk for dinner and had eaten a few strawberries. That did not make a good picture. It was horrible, awful, disgusting, the worst smell ever. And it was everywhere. He definitely made up for the fact that he had never puked. He got about 3 baths that night and I was up until midnight doing laundry incase we needed to change the sheets again in the middle of the night. As gross as it was, my heart was breaking. Jefferson was so scared. And I felt horrible. I would have gladly been sick instead of him.
Well, two days later he seems to be felling a little better. He still won't really eat, but he does drink water and some juice. He gets to watch "Sid, the Science Kid" and lay on my shoulder most of the day. I don't get anything done and on top of that I am starting to feel yucky, so I may not get anything done at all this week. But that is life and hopefully we will all be healthy by the weekend. But what really gets me upset is that it is actually nice here and we are stuck inside. It sucks bad! Hope you all are healthy and enjoying the nice weather!
If he's smart, and we know he is, he'll milk the illness a little longer so he can watch Sid and lay on Mom's shoulder. It always feels better to get to do those things. I hope you make it through okay.
ReplyDeleteWell, who said you shouldn't or can't go out in the nice weather as long as you don't get close to anyone? Go for a bit of a walk in the sunshine. Breathe some fresh air. Take jackets so you don't get chilled. Are any fevers accompanying either of you? Hope you all get through this without too much upheaval. But, enjoy the weather with no other people around. It will probably help you all to get better.
