Yellowstone: Part 2

Our last day in Yellowstone was just as great as the first, but a little less taxing.  We started out by driving into the southern part of the park.  Jason soon saw a moose, which Jefferson had been begging to see, and pulled over.  Many pictures later we were back on our way.

We drove for a while, took in the beautiful scenery, took pictures, visited little shops and museums, and then headed to the great and glorious "Old Faithful".  Jefferson was just itching to see the "volcano"  spit water.  He thought it was so great.
It was so cool to watch Old Faithful erupt.  There were tons of people there and when it started going there was this silence that came over the crowd.  God definitely created some truly amazing things for us to enjoy.
After Old Faithful we went into the museum and let Jefferson goof around a bit.  They had such a neat children's area.  I really think he learned a lot that day.  It reminds me of the vacations we took when I was young.  We would go places that were fun, but also taught us something and as I mother it is something I look back on with fondness and thanksgiving.  After that we went to the Midway (I think) Geyser Basin.  Truly picturesque.  Look at those colors.  Awesome.
It was amazing how hot it was when that steam hit you in the face.  At times when it blew right at you it was a little hard to breath.  Thanks goodness these basins didn't have sulfur in them or I would have been outta there.  No stinky this time.
After awhile we headed home through the south entrance and through Tetons National Park.  Beautiful. We stopped and ate lunch by a lake and took a short walk to try and savor every last moment of vacation.
It was a short, but great vacation and I am so glad that we went.  We will definitely have to go back.
